Will I need to empty water from my portable Air Conditioner  ? All Portable Air Conditioners

All A/C units produce water in there “sump pans”; there are three different methods for evacuation

  1.  The original models use a Water bucket stored in the bottom of the unit, there still available but you are seeing less and less of this model....it must be emptied by you every 2-8 hours depending on usage the humidity level outside

  2. Self Evaporation technology , water vapor is exhausted along with the hot air .CAUTION. On humid days the storage tank will need to be emptied by you. Unit will not run until its emptied

  3. Condensate Pump      ………….attached to a small hose inside of the hot air duct which pumps all the extra water that the self Evap technology can not handle..The small house  discharges to the outside

  4. Amcor has update the condensate pump with a mist sprayer that reduces the water drainage see video  Amcor nanomax
